Bankers should be breathing a sigh of relief now that they are no longer regarded as the ugly face of capitalism.

That dubious distinction has been passed on to brands such as Apple, Google, Amazon and Starbucks, multinationals which stand accused of engaging in systematic and complicated operations to shield their already fat profits from the payment of any corporate taxes.
