He will more than likely use a walker for a while, and then a cane. Walking on his own will come. It takes a little while, but it will happen. I remember how worried I was that I would never drive again, which was so important for my independence. But strong determination and lots of prayer helped. I will continue to pray for your dear Dad's full recovery.
