Let Go and Let God
As children bring their broken toys
with tears for us to mend
I brought my broken dreams to God
because He is my friend
But then instead of
leaving Him in peace to work alone
I hung around and tried to help
with ways that were my own
At last
I snatched them back again and cried
"How can You be so slow?"
"My child," He said
"what could I do?
You never did let go."
Lauretta P. Burns 1957
Dr Jim has so kindly shared the author's name with us. Thank you very much, Dr Jim =)

Hi Audrey, yes we do need to let go and let God don't we?
Hope that you have been well dear sis. I've re-started writing my blog. Please keep me accountable.
Lots of Love,
Kitty
Well Audrey, this is really a good one. I am liking the broken toy bit.
One the below situation, I think you are an encourager to you husband. We can pray that your talents will be honored here.
Or, like the poem, could you go? With a lame excuse of why Dad couldn't come too? That would be alright with me if my DIL brought the child.
Have a nice weekend,
..

Wow, Lieve Zus. This is exactly how I feel at times; God please..., hurry up!!! Faith however requires patience. It will happen in God's time and it will be for the best.
If you don't mind, I would like to copy it and post it on my blog. This simple poem says it all. :-)
Have a great and blessed weekend, Lieve Zus.
God's Grace.
Hi Audrey, I did find the author is Lauretta P. Burns (Google her). She wrote it in 1957. And yes, it is all over the internet.
I got called one time by an author, she DIRECTED ME to remove my joke. Her's was in a book of jokes she had 'written.' I don't think there are very many original jokes anymore. This one came to me via chain e-mail.
:-)
Hang in there,
..
Sorry about the mix up in brothers.

Hi Sis! ;-)
It's as though we want to just use God like a tool isn't it? May He forgive us our foolishness and grant us wisdom in its place.
Thanks again so much for all you do here. You mean so much to Corry and I and I'm sure to so many more!
i've read that before in some article. it's so very true. we have to let go and let God. if we want Him to fix things for us, we have to hand it over to Him.
God bless you, audrey. =D
