- religion is rigid, phoney and stale
- believers who feel close to God but not to the church
- passionate voice of those who think their institutions lack integrity
- religion puts you in bondage
- Jesus sets you free

Thanks for your comment and I was lucky Leonie was so kind as well as the staff member. I am convinced there are lots more good people than bad, but the latter get in all the media.

Hi Audrey ~~ Yes, I know that Jesus set us free.
Even so, I believe that my religion, Baptist, has not put me into bondage.
Baptists believe in the Bible as from God as the absolute authority in our lives but the interpretation is that of the believer as guided by the Holy Spirit. I.e. no two Baptists believe exactly the same.
We Baptists also believe that the risen from the dead and now living again Jesus is in Heaven interceding with God for us who believe in Him and trust Him to do so.
