Zettabyte
Ever heard of a zettabyte?
Probably not, but experts now predict that global internet traffic is likely to pass the zettabyte threshold by next year.
It will explode to 1.4 zettabytes a year by 2017, the equivalent of watching one billion DVDs per day every day for a year.
One zettabyte is one sextillion bytes - which is the digit one, with 21 noughts after it:
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Not so much after all, Audrey. It would be a thousand million million million.
I am glad that WE are doing our part to contribute to this historic moment. We won't get much credit for it, BLAME perhaps.
